HEY ALASKA, WHERE’S YOUR CONTENT?
Good luck finding businesses in Alaska that excel at consistent content marketing. I’ve looked for them and it’s a sad state of affairs out there. For the few that are making your own content, I applaud you. You embody the pioneer spirit on which Alaska was built.
Sadly, most agencies (including our own) haven’t been at the top of the content game of creating blog posts, facebook posts, emails, newsletters, and the like. Instead, we’re so busy making these pieces for our clients that we inadvertently ignore our own. Just one look at the post dates on our Facebook page has us shaking our head in shame. Well, we’re done with that.
BRING ON THE MARKETING INFORMATION DRIP!
For the next few months, you’ll see more content coming out of the Mammoth Marketing crew than you can shake a hairy trunk at. There’s a good reason for this. What we learn for ourselves can be used to improve our services to our clients.
Here’s how this will go:
BLOG IT OUT
We start with a blog post twice a month, written by members of our Mammoth staff. These topics will cover just about anything we want to talk about. Budgeting, digital media strategy, proper signage, and anything else that is marketing or advertising related.
We want our readers to get the inside scoop on the current state of marketing, what’s working for us, and what super-secret-super-cool projects we’re developing.
INVADE THE INBOX (EMAIL)
We’ll take that blog post and send it out to our current and potential clients through email channels with the goal of generating traffic to our website. This is important. We WANT people to hit our website because that’s where the third step comes in:
GET SLIGHTLY ANNOYING
That’s right, if you were lucky enough to click through to this blog post, you’ll be put on a retargeting list. That means you’ll start seeing even more ads from us! You’re welcome and we hope you like them. We’ve done our best to make them fun for you.
LEVERAGE MORE! (WITH AD SPENDS)
Like all good content, you don’t just put it out there in one place. We’ll be posting a version of it on Instagram (here) or Facebook) (here), and if there is a video component you can find it (here). This will add even more people to that remarketing list.
RINSE AND LEARN
All good marketing is a grand experiment. This is no different. We’ll be adjusting our topics, headlines, videos, and writing based on the general (or lack of) reactions we get from our audience.
Then we’ll do it all again, but even better.
IT’S BASICALLY FOR YOU
Sure, we’ll get our name out there but you know who’s really going to benefit? Our clients. Each post will get us data and feedback that will help us market our clients even better.
