Email is one of the oldest but most powerful elements you can have in play in your marketing. Don’t ignore it just because it’s been around for awhile.

The Inbox is Still Powerful

The inbox is still one of the pillars of attention. It’s one of the few places that people check everyday, multiple times a day. Even if you just get a passing glance at a subject line, it’s still an impression. Even better, it’s an impression in a place many people consider to be the home of their stuff on the internet! However, the inbox is just one part of the email list power.

Email Doesn’t JUST Mean Email

Most businesses aren’t utilizing their email list (if they have one) to the maximum effect. And that’s because emails don’t just mean email. On Facebook, for instance, you can upload an email list and use it to reach to your existing customers. You can also use it to reach new customer by uploading it with Facebook accounts or new customers who match similar parameters on their profile. This is extremely powerful!

Do What You Can to Collect Customer Emails!

Do what you can collect an email from every customer interaction you have. It’s a gold mine of marketing data that Agencies like mine, love to see our client’s curate. There are a number of ways you can do this.
  • Integrate it into your sales process
  • Offer a low cost (to you) freebie in exchange for it
  • Ask for it on review after a service
  • Run contests at events and have people use their email to enter

And that’s just a few. There are more and you can get really creative with the process.
